The DC Courts will conclude their commemoration of Black History Month with an event on the theme: "What do I want to be, who inspires me." DC Court of Appeals Chief Judge Annice M. Wagner will make welcoming remarks. Students from Anne Beers Elementary School's Poetry Slam Team will perform, as will the Woodson High Jazz Ensemble and the school's Dance Troupe. Ms. Viola Bradford, a teacher at Seaton Elementary School in the District, will speak of her work in the civil rights movement. There will be a reception afterwards. The public is invited to attend.
The event will take place in Courtroom 48, in Court Building A, at 515 5th Street, NW, between E and F Streets beginning at noon, Wednesday, February 26, 2003.
