-- Judges, Councilmember, Police Chief and 6D Citizens Advisory Committee to Discuss Community Concerns, Crime, and Criminal Justice --
Judges from the Superior Court -- including its East of the River and DC/Traffic Community Courts and Family Court -- along with the Ward 7 Councilmember Alexander and Police Chief Lanier, will meet with Ward 7 residents on the evening of Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Discussion will focus on how the courts, the Council, and the police are working to create positive change in Ward 7 (Sixth District) neighborhoods. The public will be able to provide input, express concerns, and ask questions about the District's criminal justice system, crime and quality of life issues in their community.
